Construction Plant Operator Safety Awareness Training Specifications

Overview

The course is designed to meet the needs of all Construction Site Plant Operators and operators of dangerous plant in workshops.

The course addresses their obligations relating to the Health, Safety and welfare of themselves and anyone else that might reasonably be expected to be affected by their actions.


The course makes reference to all relevant current Acts, Regulations and Approved Codes of Practice, supplemented with case studies.

The course is modular, in order to reflect the broad levels of experience encountered in industry and thus the variation needed to meet the requirements of individual Companies.

The course content and length of training is designed to meet the standards of safety awareness training required when applying for plant achievement certification subject to refresher training at least once every three years.

Aims


To enable the Course Member to meet his/her statutory and moral obligations towards the health, safety and welfare of themselves and other persons at work.

Objectives


1. Meet all statutory obligations with regard to health, safety and welfare at work imposed by all relevant current Acts, Regulations and Approved Codes of Practice.

2. Identify potential hazards at work and take the appropriate action to either remove them or limit their possible effects.

Course Duration and Fees


One day

£550, exclusive of value added tax, but inclusive of hand outs and travel up to 100 miles for a maximum of 12 candidates.
